On the 15th January Julia visited our school. Three educators had heard about the program and wanted to understand/learn more about what it entails. Ms Zaca, Ms Dumakude and myself attended. We did a fun water audit which involved a game whereby groups needed to decide how much water is used in different activities. Most of the time, because most children don't have running water, they were way off the mark. For bonus points, the children needed to practice teamwork and critical-thinking, working out the most efficient and practical measures to save water in each situation exp: How do you save water when flushing the toilet. The learners then committed themselves to saving water by writing their own pledges.
